Brief Description
This webinar will give an overview of the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement for Tourism Professionals (MRA-TP) and how the ASEAN Toolboxes can be used and maximized for training, assessment and certification across the six labor divisions identified in the MRA-TP: Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Service, Food Production, Front Office, Travel Agency Services and Tour Operator Services.
Participants
Tourism and hospitality educators and trainers from higher education institutions (HEIs), technical-vocational institutions and K-12 teachers; training managers of tourist accommodation facilities, food establishments, travel and tour operators and other tourism related enterprises. Preferably, participants should have computer proficiency.
It is strongly recommended that participants have stable internet connection during the webinar in order to navigate smoothly through the ASEAN Toolboxes.
Trainer
Ma. Christina G. Aquino is the Executive Director for Linkages and Standards of the Lyceum of the Philippines University Manila. She has teaching and administrative experiences in post-secondary school settings including a state university, a private technical vocational school offering Culinary Arts programmes and a private non-sectarian university. Aside from teaching and administration, she was a flight attendant and cabin services line instructor for two international airlines, a foodservice operator, and liaison officer of a quasi-government agency. She is an author of several books, journal articles, presented papers, and invited as speaker in several workshops, fora and conferences. A certified ASEAN Master Assessor for Housekeeping, she is also currently the Chairperson of the Tourism Industry Board Foundation, Inc.
